Supported Independent Living
What is Supported Independent Living?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a form of NDIS support that provides assistance to individuals to help them live independently. This may include support with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping, as well as assistance with social and recreational activities. Our team is ready to help participants in their homes or shared spaces with a range of tasks and activities.
Our SIL model is structured to give you:
Direction – Support aligned with your vision and goals
Connection – Social opportunities and emotional safety
Consistency – Routine around preferences and communication style
Growth – Building life skills through everyday routines and decisions
How are these goals achieved?
Personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping
Attending medical appointments and accessing health care services
Maintaining social connections and participating in community activities
Meal planning and preparation
Medication management
Budgeting and managing finances
Sleep and behaviour management
